Karaoke County Roadshow Contest Rules

1.) The rules of each contest shall be explained to each contestant either verbally or by a printed copy of the rules for the contest. To compete, must be 18 years of age, or older.

 2.) The first place winner from the last contest held CAN NOT enter the current contest but will be able to enter the following contest.

 3.)  A ) Each judge shall be non-partial. ( i.e. The judges CAN NOT be a friend or acquaintance of any of the contestants and/or relatives involved in the contest.)  

      B ) Judges CAN NOT be the owner of the establishment or the Karaoke DJ running the contest.

 4.) Each contestant shall be judged by the following categories.

     1) Singing ability

     2) Appearance

     3) Stage presence 

Each performer shall sing two songs. After all singers have been judged for their performances, the top 2 singers will go onto the grand finale August 30th 2008

 5.) With the exception of CD's or CDG's. Each contestant shall use only the equipment provided by the DJ running the show.

6.) Each contestant shall be judged on a scale of 1 to 30 for vocal, 1-10 stage performance and appearance. Lowest score possible is a 3 and the highest being a 50 from each judge.

 7.) Any contestant that faces the a malfunction of the equipment has the option of starting over. Examples: feed back, skipping of disk, loss of microphone.

 8.) Any contestant guilty of insulting or starting any confrontation with any of the audience, judges, establishment workers or other contestants shall be disqualified.

9.) All contestants must do their best while performing, also they must do their best to have a great time. Contestants that do not adhere to this rule shall be subject to going home grumpy. Have a great time!
